BACKGROUND

The Fun Run is named after the late Joe Sarich, owner of Sarich Sports, and is supported by the Sarich Family and sponsored by the City of Elliot Lake. Joe was a friend to all who met him, and he was a keen supporter of the local sports scene. In fact, he sponsored the original Run from 1980-2000. In 2005, as part of the anniversary celebrations at ELSS, he sponsored the Reunion Run. 

The first Joe Sarich Memorial Fun Run  was on July 2, 2014, and attracted 150 participants. Since then, it has become one of the fixtures of the city's annual Uranium Heritage Days.

SPAGHETTI DINNER KICK-OFF JUNE 30th!

This year, the Fun Run festivities begin the night before (June 30th) with the Annual Spaghetti Dinner Kick-Off (sponsored by the Elliot Lake Ski Racers) at the Ski Hill. It's just $12 per adult and $8 per child 12 and under. This is also where you can pick up your Fun Run Registration Kit (includes your shirt and bib). The dinner is not limited to registered runners or walkers...come all! Make sure you buy your tickets at the Pool or Sarich Source for Sports before June 30 - they're limited!
